Objectives

Contribute to the consolidation and strengthening of research in both basic and applied sciences as well as technological development; always with a multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary orientation in all fields of knowledge, through the generation of state-of-the-art knowledge that focuses on solving national and global problems.

Consolidate the position at the forefront of research in science and technological development and increase its connection with the priority issues and problems of the country, through the generation of state-of-the-art knowledge that fosters solutions of social usefulness at the national and global levels.

Mission

Carry out basic and applied research in the field of physics applications with a multidisciplinary approach, to train human resources and create links between academic work, industry, and society, addressing technological problems, and participating actively in the scientific and technological development of the country and the region.

Vision

To become a reference, not only for the quality and impact of research in applied physics and technology, but for its multidisciplinary approach, linking industry and society, and solving problems of national interest, and also for the excellent training of its students backed by unquestionable professional ethics. In particular, CFATA will work to consolidate and accredit the National Laboratory for Materials Characterization (LaNCaM).
